In collaboration with Fallon Press and the late Mary Overlie, a pioneer in experimental theater and dance, Standing in Space: The Six Viewpoints Theory & Practice Manual was brought to life. This seminal 212-page work deconstructs the elements of performance—Space, Shape, Time, Emotion, Movement, and Story—and represents Overlie’s life’s work. From editorial design to global distribution, the project was a deeply collaborative, multi-phase effort to preserve and extend Overlie’s legacy to both academic and creative communities.

The entire book design process was guided by a commitment to honor Overlie’s artistic philosophy. The visual language was carefully crafted to balance clarity and sophistication, ensuring accessibility for both scholars and practitioners.
A custom cover and interior layout were designed to reflect the depth of the Six Viewpoints theory, while remaining clean and inviting for varied readers.
35 rare archival photographs were restored and thoughtfully integrated into the book, enhancing both historical context and visual richness.
The result was a beautifully printed, soft-bound 212-page edition that conveyed both visual refinement and pedagogical clarity.

A comprehensive rollout strategy was executed to support the book’s release and ensure visibility across academic, creative, and performance communities.
Targeted press releases were distributed to theater institutions, university departments, and major arts publications.
Custom-designed launch assets—including posters, invitations, and digital ads—supported event promotion across channels.
Launch events were hosted at prestigious cultural venues, featuring readings, live performances, and multimedia discussions. Custom motion graphics and visuals elevated the in-person experience.

The book’s distribution was strategically planned for institutional adoption, with 30,000 first-edition copies printed and 10,000 pre-orders shipped to universities, conservatories, and arts organizations worldwide.
